Wetland Construction Project

Identifying Plants, Methods and Skills

4 Days - $890

Gary is very knowledgeable, good at conveying the concepts and very patient with students as we grappled with the immense vocabulary thrown at us.  Duration of course appropriate to learn how to key, but not too long to burn out.  Would recommend course highly!  Great job!  Easy going, knowledgeable, passionate about his subject and conveys that enthusiasm to the students, patient and welcoming!

Eric Champaign, IL

Learn to identify plants through the use of comprehensive regional floras for anywhere in the nation. The emphasis will be on field and/or laboratory identification of plants using technical keys for plants of wetland habitats. Work with the descriptive vocabulary and unique characteristics of a number of plant groups and also learn sight identification of a number of vascular plant families and genera. By the end of the course, participants should be able to identify plants using local floristic keys.
